HEADS UP!

HEADS UP!

As of November 21st, 2023, we’ve been made aware that RxLocal is experiencing multiple bugs that are causing issues with logging into existing accounts, password resets, registering new accounts, and the displaying of patients’ referred names.

If you’re experiencing this issue, please know that the issue is being actively investigated, but it’s taking longer than expected to fix. In the meantime, you can (1) use one of the methods listed here to submit refill requests or (2) request a password reset link from us here or by giving us a call (which we’ve determined has fixed the issue for some folks).

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We’ll update this notice as soon as we receive an update from our pharmacy software support team!

By creating a new account using either of the above versions of RxLocal, you'll be able to submit refill requests, receive direct messages from us, and set reminders to pick up and request refills. RxLocal is HIPAA-compliant, so we're able to send more detailed messages to you compared to traditional SMS texting. This messaging is also free for us versus paying for traditional SMS texting, which is helpful during this financially difficult time (click here to read more about that).

Click the buttons below for helpful set-by-step instructions.

  • In addition to HIPAA-compliant secure messaging and the ability to set reminders to submit a refill request, RxLocal also allows you to manage all of your family’s medications in one account (e.g., parents can manage their children’s medications) and has a click-to-call feature for your care providers who prescribe you medications.

  • No, we don’t require that patients use this tool, as we know it’s not the best fit for everyone. However, we appreciate you giving it a try, as it offers a number of benefits for both you and us (allows us to send you more detailed HIPAA-compliant messages, more cost-effective).

  • Yes! However, a signed Patient Authorization for Release of Information form will need to be uploaded to the patient’s profile so that you have permission to view that patient’s pharmacy information and your cell phone number can be associated with their account.

If you are also a patient at St. Paul Corner Drug, you’ll want to set up RxLocal using your own information and then “add” this other adult to your app using their name and date of birth. If you’re not currently a patient at St. Paul Corner Drug, you’ll need to set up the RxLocal app using only the other adult’s information, even if the app is on your personal smartphone.

  • Make sure you’re using the exact legal first and last name and cell phone number we have on file for you (if you’re not sure, call us and we’ll check your profile).

If you’re still struggling, please email a screenshot to hildie@stpaulcornerdrug.com so that we can troubleshoot the issue together.

  • Via phone (by speaking with a staff member or using our automated refill line) or in-person. Click here for more information.

  • The RxLocal app displays your complete record at our pharmacy, which includes all prescriptions that have been sent in for you in recent history regardless of whether you’re still taking them. There may even be some that you’ll never refill, such as vaccines and COVID tests. Feel free to let us know if you’re no longer taking something so that our Pharmacists and Technicians are aware, but these medications will remain visible in your RxLocal app for a period of time.
