Join fellow pharmacy advocates fighting PBM abuse at a peaceful protest against OptumRx, one of the “big 3” traditional PBMs and worst perpetrators of PBM abuse! This protest, which is being organized by our friends at Pharmacists United for Truth & Transparency (PUTT) is being held at OptumRx Headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. At least a few members of our team at St. Paul Corner Drug will be in attendance, and we encourage any SPCD patient who is available to join us! A copy of the notice about the protest passed along to us can be found below, including information about where we’re meeting.
Please note that SPCD is NOT organizing this event—if you have questions, please reach out to the organizers directly here.
Registration required? Yes, in order to help organizers accommodate the growing size of the protest. Click here to register.
Patients, pharmacists and community advocates will gather on Friday, September 13th, 2024 at OptumRx’s corporate offices to protest years of questionable practices that have resulted in volumes of documented cases of patient harm, independent pharmacy closures and little evidence of cost savings at the pharmacy counter, contrary to promises made by OptumRx and its fellow “Big 3” pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs).
Let's get loud together and keep the pressure on!!!
We will hold a "Happy Hour Meet & Greet" on Thursday evening (9/12) at the Blue Birch restaurant & bar located inside the Minneapolis Marriott Southwest
We will be hosting a continental breakfast the morning of the protest (Friday, 9/13) at the Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis/Eden Prairie.
Attendee check-in will be at the breakfast.
There will be a limited number of signs available for use at the protest. If you would like to make a sign, we will have materials available at the pre-protest breakfast.
If you have not already joined the WhatsApp Protest Chat Group, please do so by using this link. The WhatsApp chat group will be your immediate source of information leading up to and throughout the day of the protest.
